Weekend Links {12.4.11}

Hope you’re enjoying this first weekend in December! We got our tree this weekend and tonight Charlotte’s performing in the children’s Christmas performance at our church. Here’s some of what I’ve loved reading this week:

Ways to Play in December :: Let’s Explore (I love printing this out each month and hanging it on the fridge for some fun ideas.)

Becoming a Better Mother: Pursue Excellence, Not Perfection :: A Delightful Home (Some great reminders for moms.)

Three Ways to Use Garlic Medicinally :: Frugal Granola (Garlic is my #1 most effective home remedy and I always love learning more about how to use it.)

11 Simple, Homemade Gifts :: Keeper of the Home (This has the sugar scrub recipe I love to make, and I want to try the body butter too!)

 Anticipating Holidays: Relationship Boundaries :: Sorta Crunchy (This is a great post…I’m reading it over and over, especially as the holidays approach!)

We’re having fun doing our Christmas countdown and I’m loving using Truth in the Tinsel: An Advent Experience for Little Hands. I’m not making all the fun ornaments, but I am doing the daily clues and reading the Christmas story. It makes it so fun that there’s a “clue” word each day for Charlotte to listen for as we read a part of the Christmas story, and it’s super helpful for me to have talking points to expand on what we’re reading together. It’s not too late to join in, and it’s only $4.99!
