31 days of finding meaning in the mundane {day 2} I want more

mundane
adjective
1. common, ordinary, everyday

I easily slip into the routine of my everyday life. The getting what needs to be done, done. The barely keeping up, rushing through each moment. The common, ordinary, wake up, shower, brush teeth, kids up, kids fed, moving through my day without taking time. Just letting the everyday sweep over me and falling back into bed again each night and starting over the next morning.

But I want more. I want my days to be meaningful. And don’t get me wrong, I think what I’m doing is meaningful: raising kids, being a mom, a wife, a friend, a teacher. All the roles we have are meaningful, it’s just sometimes they might not feel that way unless we are intentional. Intentional in bringing meaning into the everyday, mundane moments of our days.

meaningful
adjective
1. full of meaning, significance, purpose or value
