31 days of finding meaning in the mundane {day 24} seek beauty

This post is part of a 31 day series.

There is so much beauty all around us, and when I am seeking beauty I’m always able to see it more. Being intentional about looking for beauty in the everyday is another way of finding meaning in the mundane.

Today I looked through some of my pictures from the last year and found some that reminded me of something I found beauty in.

I have no idea what these flowers are called, but my own made up name for them is fire flowers.
I love lemons and especially a big basketful with sunlight streaming in on them.
My sweet girl is certainly full of beauty.

One of the reasons I love Instagram is because I feel like it helps me to be more aware of seeking out the beauty around me and it gives me access to all kinds of beauty that others are capturing. It helps me take notice of the everyday glimpses of beauty throughout my day, such as a sweet moment between my kids:

Or a pretty bloom in the backyard:

Or the joy on Isaac’s face as he claps and sings:

Or a beautiful sunrise on an early morning drive:

So, whether or not you choose to capture moments of beauty throughout your day with photos, seeking beauty in your everyday life is a wonderful way to find meaning in the mundane.

If you do happen to have some beauty to share, leave a link in the comments or if you’re on Instagram sharing your moments of beauty, leave me your name so I can follow you!
